Chairperson for the 2016 Club Tour. Organize a committee to select a loop route of approximately 350 miles.  Committee’s job is to identify route, motels and restaurants along the way and recommend daily ride segments.  Contact Garry Kehr. Gkehr.sbc@gmail.com, 509-990-1474

Sponsorship program ambassador. Identify possible club sponsors and present the established club sponsorship program. Targets are businesses and organizations that have an interest in the cycling community. This includes getting renewals for current sponsors and soliciting new sponsors. This is counterintuitive but this is one of the most fun jobs that I’ve had this year. Contact Garry Kehr. Gkehr.sbc@gmail.com, 509-990-1474.

Friday, Sept 5, 3:30-8 PM at Mt. Gear
Saturday, Sept 6,  two shifts 9:30 - 2:00 and 2:00 - 6:00 PM at REI
Sunday, Sept 7, 6:30 - 9:30 AM at Riverpark Square, north entrance

We set up for registration at each location. We check registrants in using an online database, distribute shirts and ride packets, and accept new registrations.  At the end of the registration we tear down our registration stations and load the equipment into a trailer.

It's work, but also fun, and an opportunity to interact with a couple thousand recreational riders.  If you would like to volunteer, contact Sally via email at phillips1948@comcast.net or by phone at 448-6271.

Note that helping with registration still allows you to participate in Spokefest.  Sign up online at:spokefest.org
What Spokefest does:
  • gives the community an accessible fun event showcasing the gorgeous Spokane River
  • promotes visibility for Spokane cycling
  • acts as parent organization for Spokane Bikes and Summer Parkways
  • raises funds that it distributes to organizations like Pedal 2 People and WABikes

SBC volunteers - thanks for helping support Spokefest!
